the Tianjin Hyatt Regency on Friday, October 15, 1999. Head
Coach Svetlana Kuznetsova was unable to attend due to previous
committments.

lunch, the Uzbeks are surprised by our news of the uneven bars
fundraiser. Coach Andrei Nilov clutches the symbolic gift of
the uneven bars to his heart.

signals her approval of the Spieth Anderson bars. "These
are the best kind in the world!" she exclaims in Russian.

The
Fan Club presents Nilov and the others with various gifts of
friendship to bring back to the gym in Uzbekistan.

signs postcards thanking the contributors to the UB fundraiser.
Everyone who donated to the UB fundraiser will be receiving
a token of appreciation in the mail. Judge Lyudmilla Jalnovakova
promises that the team will thank everyone for the bars the
best way they can - through improved results in future competitions.
